About Demetria Cooper
Birth + Postpartum Doula
Demetria brings over 18 years of experience in OB/GYN, with expertise as a Clinical Supervisor, CMA, and Centering Facilitator. She has dedicated over 180 working hours on L&D, observing vaginal births and C-sections, and has actively participated in numerous deliveries. Specializing in both birth and postpartum care, Demetria is a hands-on doula who encourages her clients to engage in the birthing process. Known for her energy, she loves offering gentle massages and foot rubs to make her clients feel supported and comfortable.
Demetria’s clients appreciate her personable nature and the way she involves their support team, empowering them to feel heard and validated throughout their journey. She is a dedicated advocate for women, particularly those facing challenges in underserved communities. Residing in Baltimore, MD, and working at Mercy Medical Center, Demetria is motivated by the women she serves, especially given the barriers they face around transportation, food, and housing.
Married for 13 years with two daughters, aged 17 and 10, Demetria is fueled by her family and her passion for supporting others. She is committed to continuous learning and loves educating herself on all aspects of her work as a doula.
