Writing Circle

Creative Connection: A Writing Circle for Parents

The Womb Room at the Keswick Castle

Description:

Class Description: Designed for participants at all stages of their writing and parenting journeys, The Womb Room Writing Circle seeks to build a community for parent-writers by offering a dedicated time and space for creative expression. Join us from 7–8 pm on the final Monday of each month as we gather in The Womb Room studio to write. This is not a workshop, writing class, or critique group. It’s a no-pressure, no-commitment opportunity for parents who want to connect with other writers and spend some time writing. Writing prompts will be offered at each meetup for those who wish to use them, and we will save a little time at the end to share our work and ideas or just to chat and connect. Bring your preferred writing apparatus, your work-in-progress, or a blank page to start something new, arrive late, leave early—however it works best for you, come write with us! About the Instructor: Claire Taylor (she/her) is an award-nominated writer for both adult and youth audiences. She is the author of Little Thoughts, a children's literature collection, as well as two micro-chapbooks: A History of Rats (Ghost City Press) and As Long as We Got Each Other (ELJ Editions). Her self-published chapbook, Mother Nature, and the chapbook One Good Thing (Bottlecap Press) further showcase her talent for storytelling. Claire’s debut picture book, Benjamin’s Sad Day, is forthcoming from Golden Fleece Press. In addition to her writing, Claire is the publisher and editor-in-chief of Little Thoughts Press, a print magazine for kids inspired by her Little Thoughts newsletter. Her passion for children’s literature and creative expression makes her the perfect guide for this unique writing circle. Upcoming Circles: Monday 7pm 3/10, 4/28, 5/19, 6/23
