Worn to Dance
A joyful babywearing dance party for caregivers and little ones to move, groove, and connect.
Description:
Join us for a heart-pumping, joy-filled babywearing dance class that celebrates movement, connection, and community! Worn to Dance is a weekly opportunity for caregivers to get moving with their babies securely snuggled close in a carrier, all while dancing to fun, upbeat music that lifts the spirit and energizes the body. This class is designed for all levels—no dance experience required! Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to shake off the stress of the week, you'll be welcomed into a supportive, judgment-free space where the focus is on fun, bonding, and joyful expression. Expect a mix of simple choreography, rhythmic swaying, and plenty of smiles as you move together with your little one and other caregivers. Please bring your own baby carrier—any style that provides good support and keeps baby safe and secure against your body. Babies should be worn heart-to-heart, facing in, and must have good head and neck control. This is more than just a dance class—it’s a chance to connect, build community, and remember the power of movement to lift us up. Come dance, carry, and connect every Sunday at The Womb Room! Not sure which babywearing carrier is best for you and your little one? No worries! Check out our schedule to see when the next Patuxent Babywearing meetup is happening at The Womb Room. Their experienced volunteers can help you try different styles, find the perfect fit for your body and baby, and teach you how to wear them safely and comfortably. You can even borrow a wrap or carrier from their lending library to use during class or at home!
